Proust geometrica, ulteriore evoluzione dell'icona creata da Alessandro Mendini nel 1978 per il Palazzo dei Diamanti di Ferrara, la poltrona Proust Geometrica incorpora l'eredità dell'originale in questa versione rivisitata in Technicolor. Oggetto di culto nel mondo del design, la poltrona Proust è stata reinterpretata con un rivestimento fisso in tessuto multicolore disegnato dallo stesso Mendini. Proust, uno dei pezzi di design più acclamati al mondo, la poltrona Proust di Alessandro Mendini è stata lanciata nel 1978, quando è stata utilizzata per arredare il Palazzo dei Diamanti, a Ferrara, durante una mostra intitolata "Incontri ravvicinati di architettura". Poco dopo, il fascino postmoderno del pezzo catturò l'attenzione di intenditori e addetti al design su scala internazionale. Questa nuova edizione dell'iconica poltrona presenta la tradizionale struttura in legno intagliato e dipinto a mano con un rivestimento fisso in tessuto multicolore che riprende l'arredamento della struttura. La poltrona Proust viene prodotta in due diverse palette di colori: azzurro, grigio e giallo oppure nero, verde e rosso. Struttura: faggio massiccio intagliato e verniciato a mano, imbottitura: poliuretano espanso a più densità Tessuto multicolore che si abbina ai colori della struttura: PR_1: azzurro, grigio, giallo, PR_2: nero, verde, rosso.

The History of the Cappellini Brand
Cappellini was born in the heart of the Como province, specifically in Carugo, from Enrico’s dream of opening a small workshop dedicated to creating furniture in the region’s pure artisan style.
The year was 1946. From that moment, the brand evolved into what it is today—one of the most renowned names in furniture and design worldwide. Everything changed, except the original passion that the Cappellini family continues to pour into the brand.
Enrico Cappellini was no newcomer to the industry; he already had experience in furniture making. His vision, combined with tradition, quickly established the brand’s reputation across Italy.
In 1977, his son Guido took the reins, driving innovation and international expansion, elevating the brand to its current global status.
The catalog mainly features chairs and armchairs, but also sofas, chests of drawers, wardrobes. Cappellini deconstructs forms and reimagines them with brilliance. Unsurprisingly, it collaborates with many renowned modern designers such as Tom Dixon, with whom it created the iconic S-Chair. Many Cappellini pieces are now part of permanent collections in some of the world’s greatest museums, such as the MoMA in New York and the Triennale in Milan.
