Albini mini desk is Franco Albini's desk from 1928 that combines glass, steel and wood with surprising clarity and balance. A clear demonstration of Albini's rationalist design philosophy and minimalist aesthetics: the design draws its charm through the simplicity of form and celebration of the material, without extraneous ornaments.
BARCELONA KNOLL ARMCHAIR
Barcelona is the armchair signed by Knoll, made according to the original indications of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. In 1953 Knoll acquired the production rights of the Barcelona Collection. The KnollStudio logo and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's signature are imprinted on the structure of each individual armchair. The chromed steel plate structure boasts a handcrafted finish and polish that give it the characteristic mirror effect. The cushion is made up of 40 squares, cut and sewn by hand with button quilting. The squares come from the same cut of leather. The seat and back cushions follow the curve of the structure. The straps are in leather covered in the visible parts with the same leather used for the upholstery of the cushions, with the exception of the cushions covered in black leather which have black leather straps. Upholstery in a wide range of leathers. The rubber used for this product complies with BS5852. Museum of Modern Art Award, 1977.
BARCELONA PUF KNOLL
Barcelona Pouf is a design piece by Mies Van Der Rohe for Knoll. Structure in mirror treated stainless steel. Elastic straps covered in leather and cushions in polyurethane foam with leather upholstery cut and sewn by hand. The pouf that completes the Barcelona series is what is called "a timeless classic". Made in the thirties to accompany the armchair in the furnishings of the Pavilion of the famous Spanish city. With attention to the smallest details, then as now it is a piece of furniture that you can adapt to any furniture as it will be the only protagonist.
BERTOIA 421 ARMCHAIR
Bertoia 421 is an armchair designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll. The seat and base are constructed of welded steel rods with polished chrome, nickel or black or white Rilsan® finish. The cushion attaches directly to the frame with hidden monofilament and metal hooks. The chrome or nickel finish is not suitable for outdoor use. Plastic skids included on the sled base to protect floors.

Like the Wassily and Cesca chairs, these Laccio tables are part of the main products of modern design of the 20th century. The use of tubular steel defines the lines in the space beautifully. These simple stackable tables have revolutionized the concept of furniture and inspired many successive generations of designers. Alone the big or the small or together to form simple geometries but with a very elegant visual impact.

Tugendhat , con la sua elegante forma a sbalzo, la sedia Tugendhat™ incarna la precisione tecnica e l'intenzione artistica che attraversa tutto ciò che Ludwig Mies van der Rohe ha progettato. La struttura in acciaio è raffinata sia nella costruzione che nella materialità, mentre i cuscini spessi offrono un alto grado di comfort e un'invitante informalità. Questa sedia è stata progettata nel 1929 per la Villa Tugendhat a Brno, nella Repubblica Ceca.

La sua è una storia fatta di ricerca, attenzione e, soprattutto, innovazione, frutto dell’attento studio e del particolare atteggiamento del designer di origini finlandesi. Questo pezzo fa parte della collezione Pedestal del 1955 ed è stato progettato per Knoll.La storia del tavolo Saarinen “Tulip”
Nel 1955 Eero Saarinen dà vita alla sua più grande invenzione di designer: il tavolo Tulip che porta il suo cognome. Questo pezzo d’arredo così particolare nasce da un concetto semplice, che si può riassumere con una frase che il designer, figlio di un architetto ed una scultrice e designer a sua volta, ha pronunciato:“Abbiamo sedie con quattro, tre o due gambe, ma nessuno ha mai fatto una sedia con una gamba sola. Ed è questo che noi faremo”.La voglia di differenziarsi aiuta a riconoscere il genio. È proprio da questa brillante intuizione, dalla scelta di percorrere un sentiero differente, inesplorato, che nasce una delle icone assolute del design moderno. Scultura, architettura, design fra Europa e America, dalla famiglia all’educazione, fino allo stile più personale: In Eero convivevano contaminazioni differenti, fatte di più sensazioni e caratteristiche, di educazioni eterogenee e di culture che si mescolano. Nasce infatti a Kirkkonummi, in Finlandia, dove resta fino ai 13 anni. Insieme alla famiglia si trasferisce poi negli Stati Uniti, dove si forma dapprima alla Cranbrook School, per poi tornare in Europa a studiare scultura e, infine, rientrare negli Usa ove termina il suo percorso alla Yale University con una specializzazione n architettura. Si tratta di un ampio spettro di discipline che gli permetterà di rompere gli schemi del classico, del canonico per reinventare forme e spazi, nonché il concetto stesso di stabilità. La sua costante e assidua ricerca di una specifica purezza e limpidezza nelle forme, di una stabilità unita alla bellezza e all’ordine fa si che Knoll, azienda leader nel settore del design sin dalla prima metà del secolo scorso, gli commissioni una serie di prodotti per l’arredo casa. È proprio da questa commissione che nacque nel 1955 anche il complemento icona: il tavolo Saarinen Tulip. Qualche anno dopo arriveranno sul mercato anche le sedie dello stessa categoria.
