LC2 is a timeless model, which has made the history of design. The armchair, designed in 1928 and exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in Paris in 1929, is the archetype of the armchair in the new and modern design of furnishings meant as “home appliances”, rebuilt by Cassina and produced exclusively since 1965. The independence between the metal structure and pillows expresses the logic of rationalism: the separation between parts according to a logic of industrial production.
